Detroit Lions Acquire WR Donovan Peoples-Jone

The Detroit Lions have acquired Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick

"He brings versatility, he's a big guy. He's got good contested catch skills, he can play inside, he can play outside

I think he'll fit in just fine. He's another flavor that we're adding to our mix. It's a lot of things that he can do for us so we'll just see how quickly we can get him acclimated.

Holmes hinted that the team may be done making trades ahead of Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline.

Peoples-Jones is a native of Detroit and attended Cass Tech High School. He'll be returning to his hometown in the trade.

The wideout was a sixth-round pick by the Browns in 2020 and will be a free agent after this season. In his career, he has 117 receptions for 1,837 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Lions were down a receiver after Marvin Jones left the team to handle a personal matter. Peoples-Jones joins a receiving corps that features Amon-Ra St. Brown
