How to Check Your Dog's Body Temperature

Dog's normal body temp: 101.5°F ±1. Notify vet if outside range.

If dog's temp is abnormal, go to vet ASAP. Use hot water bottles for hypothermia, cool water and wet towels for hyperthermia.

To take a dog's temperature: 1. Use rectal digital thermometer & lubricant. 2. Get help to hold dog. 3. Insert thermometer 1 inch into anus. 4. Wait for beep.
