The most trainable dog breeds

German Shepherd This medium-to-large German dog breed is from Germany. These smart dogs are wary of strangers and loyal to their owners.

Females weigh 49–71 pounds, while males weigh 66–88 pounds. They live nine to 13 years on average.

Temperament and training: The German Shepherd is the most popular K-9 dog because to its trainability, excellent sense of smell, courage, and determination.

Their curiosity, watchfulness, and confidence make them great cadaver dogs for long shifts. They can also detect blood sugar levels, making them ideal for diabetic owners.

Border Collie The border county of Northumberland produced these agile, energetic dogs to herd livestock, especially sheep.

Males weigh 30–45 pounds, while females weigh 27–42 pounds. Their life expectancy is average, perhaps 17 years.
